Commerce Server 2000 and 2002 view order page displays field names in Addresses section (274351)
The information in this article applies to:
- Microsoft Commerce Server 2002
- Microsoft Commerce Server 2000
This article was previously published under Q274351 SYMPTOMSIn Microsoft Commerce Server 2000 and Commerce Server 2002, when customers want to view an order that they placed, they click Orders below the Customer Service section of the menu bar. After they log on to the site, a list of orders is displayed. After they click View Item Details, a screen representation of their order (view_order.asp) is displayed. Under the Addresses section, customer address information is listed in a field name = field value order. For example:
Last Name = User
First Name = Jim
Address Line 1 = One Microsoft Way
City = Redmond
State/Province/Region = WA
ZIP/Postal Code = 98052
Country = US
CAUSE
A field name can appear in the Addresses section because some countries do not display address information according to the standard that is used in the United States or Europe. For example, parts of Asia display the address in the reverse order, and some places in the Middle East display address information differently. Commerce Server 2000 and Commerce Server 2002 have been designed with lowest common denominator for this display.
