The following procedure describes how to undo the EasyCleaner registry cleaning procedure. This procedure is not supported by Microsoft, and should not be used unless it is absolutely necessary. To undo the EasyCleaner registry cleaning procedure, perform the following steps:
IMPORTANT: The following procedure does not work unless you previously chose to use the "Create undo file on delete" feature, and selected a sufficient number of undo levels to properly back up all of the deleted registry keys. For example, if you set the undo levels to 10, but EasyCleaner made 11 deletions, the first 10 deletions can be restored, but the eleventh deletion cannot be restored. Because of this limitation, you may need to reinstall Windows Me.
- In EasyCleaner, click Options, and then click the Registry tab. Make note of the name of the folder that is listed in the Save undo files to box.
- Open the folder you noted in step 1.
- Double-click the last registry (.reg) file that was created to undo the changes that were made by EasyCleaner.
