This article was previously published under Q274121 SYMPTOMS
When you drag files to a message as an attachment, the attachment name may be lost when the message is received.
CAUSE
This problem occurs if you connect to the receiving computer with an x400 connection. When you use a drag and drop feature to attach files, the PR_ATTACH_FILENAME property is not set by Outlook 98 and Outlook 2000. This property is required to maintain the attachment name during the conversion from the Microsoft Exchange format to the x400 format.
