WD2002: Grammar Suggestions Inconsistent if Document Contains Hidden Text (273958)

SYMPTOMS
When you use the grammar checker and your document contains hidden text, the grammar suggestions may vary, depending on which viewing options are selected.
The grammar suggestions may vary for the same sentence, depending on whether the grammar is checked before or after the text is hidden.
CAUSE
This behavior can occur because hidden text may change the context of a sentence, and the grammar checker may not always be able to differentiate between hidden and unhidden text.
RESOLUTION
To resolve this issue, perform grammar checks while hidden text is visible. To do so, follow these steps:
- On the Tools menu, click Options.
- On the View tab, click to select the Hidden text check box under Formatting marks, and then click OK.
