Unable to Access the Scanner After Installing the Vistascan Twain Driver (273795)

After you install the Vistascan Twain driver for Umax Astra4000u, you cannot access the scanner by using the Scanners and Camera Wizard. In addition, you are unable to resolve this issue by uninstalling the Vistascan software and the scanner.
CAUSE
The scanner may be using the Twain driver instead of the Windows Image Acquisition (WIA) driver.
