To play Microsoft Midtown Madness 2, you need:
  • A Pentium II 266 MHz or higher processor with 32 megabytes (MB) of RAM (64 MB recommended)
  • Direct3D-compatible video adapter with 8 MB of video memory for hardware acceleration
  • Microsoft Windows 95 operating system or later, or Microsoft Windows 2000 operating system
  • DirectX 7.0a API (included on CD-ROM)
  • A quad-speed or faster CD-ROM drive
  • 250-400 MB of available hard disk space
  • Microsoft mouse or compatible pointing device
  • Microsoft DirectSound compatible 3D sound card with speakers or headphones for audio

Requirements for multiplayer play:
  • 28,800 bits-per-second (bps) or faster modem, a local area network (LAN) with the TCP/IP or IPX protocol, or a null-modem cable required for connection to other computers
  • 64 MB of RAM to play multiplayer games over the Internet
  • Microsoft Internet Explorer 3.02 or later or Netscape Communicator 4.0 or later to play multiplayer games on the Zone.com
