SYMPTOMS

When you use one of the Microsoft SideWinder game controllers listed in the "Applies to" section of this article, certain games may not detect the SideWinder game controller.

RESOLUTION

To work around this issue, open the Game Controllers tool in Control Panel to make sure that the game controller is detected, and then restart the game. After the game is restarted make sure that the Game Controller is enabled in the game.
