You can configure accounts for multiple LDAP servers in a single identity, but you cannot select more than one server at a time to search for individuals and addresses.

How to Perform Multiple Searches with the Sherlock Utility

If you need to include multiple LDAP servers in one search, you can use the Apple Macintosh Sherlock utility to locate individuals and e-mail addresses with the default directory servers. You can then use the information that you found to send a message.

To use Sherlock, you must use Entourage as the default e-mail client on your computer. To set Entourage as the default e-mail client:
  1. Click Control Panels on the Apple menu, and then click Internet.
  2. In the Internet dialog box, click the Default E-Mail Application box on the E-mail tab, and then click to select the Microsoft Entourage check box. If Entourage is not in the list, click Select, and locate the Microsoft Office 2001 folder, click Microsoft Entourage, and then click Select.
  3. Close the Internet dialog box, and then click Save.
To create a message from your Sherlock search result, follow the steps in this section.

NOTE: The following steps apply to Macintosh Operating System (Mac OS) 9 and uses Sherlock 2. The steps also apply to Mac OS version 8.x however, in Mac OS 8.x you see the original Sherlock interface.
  1. On the Apple menu, click Sherlock 2.
  2. On the Channels menu, click People. Verify that the servers you want to use for your search are selected in the Search Sites box.
  3. In the Search box, type your search criteria, and then press ENTER.
  4. Double-click the located entry. Entourage opens a message form with the e-mail address for the located individual.
