XADM: Error Message Occurs When You View Exchange 2000 Resources (273254)

SYMPTOMS

When you use the Exchange Server 5.x Administrator program to view Exchange 2000 server objects, you may receive the following error message:
An unexpected, unknown error has occurred.
Mapi or an unspecified service provider.
ID 80040102-0000-00000000
You receive this error message when you try to view the following objects:
  • Under the Mailbox store:
    • Logons
  • Under the Public Folder store:
    • Folder Replication Status
    • Logons
    • Server Replication Status

CAUSE

This behavior can occur because the Exchange 2000 server objects that are described in the preceding section are not supported views when you use the Exchange Server 5.x Administrator program.

STATUS

This behavior is by design.
