Error Message "CoCreateInstance Failed" When Attempting to View Display Properties (272997)

SYMPTOMS

When you click Display in Control Panel, you may receive the following error message:

CoCreateInstance Failed
Class Not Registered

After you press OK, the Display Properties dialog box is displayed as expected.

This issue can occur if a 3DFX Voodoo3 network adaptor was recently installed after a Diamond Voodoo2 network adaptor was uninstalled.
