SYMPTOMS

When you are executing a network-related method in Windows Management Instrumentation (WMI), such as EnableDHCP(), in the Win32_NetworkAdapterConfiguration class on Windows 95, Windows 98, or Windows Millennium Edition (Me), the following error may occur:
64 Method not supported on this platform

CAUSE

WMI networking methods are only supported on Windows NT-based platforms, including Windows 2000 and Windows XP.

MORE INFORMATION

Querying (reading) the network properties such as the network adapter's current IP address is not effected.
