Cannot Permanently Disable Selective Startup Message in Windows Millennium Edition (272980)

If you start Microsoft Windows Millennium Edition (Me) and place your computer into a Selective Startup mode with the Msconfig utility, you may receive the following error message:
System Configuration Utility - You are using the Selective Startup for
troubleshooting your system.
If you click to select the Don't show this dialog again check box, the dialog box returns the next time you use the system configuration utility (Msconfig) to change the computer from Normal mode to Selective Startup mode.
CAUSE
This behavior can occur because whenever the computer is put into Selective Startup mode, the Msconfig utility adds a MSConfigReminder string value with a value of "C:\Windows\System\Msconfig.exe /Reminder" to the Run key. When the dialog box is disabled, that value is deleted, and the message does not recur until the next time the computer is put into Selective Startup mode.
STATUS
This behavior is by design.
MORE INFORMATION
The dialog box can be disabled during a troubleshooting session, but it returns the next time the computer is switched from Normal to Selective Startup mode to inform the user that the computer is not restarting in Normal mode.
