MacPPT: Bullets Don't Appear in Slide Show Animation (272783)

When you view a slide show presentation, bulleted lines may appear without the bullets.
CAUSE
This behavior can occur when the bulleted lines have one or more spaces or tabs before the first letter in the line, and the custom animation is set to introduce text by letter or word.
WORKAROUND
To work around this issue, use one of the following methods.
Method 1: Remove Blank Spaces- Place the insertion point at the left margin of the first bulleted line.
- Press the DEL key. Repeat slowly until the blank space and bullet are deleted.
- On the Edit menu, click Undo AutoCorrect.
- Repeat steps 1 and 2 for each affected line in the presentation.
TIP: To insert blank spaces between the bullets and the text, use the ruler.
Method 2a: Change the Animation Style - PowerPoint 98- In PowerPoint 98, select the bulleted text.
- On the Slide Show menu, click Custom Animations.
- Click the Effects tab, and then change the Introduce text field to All at once
- Click OK.
Method 2b: Change the Animation Style - PowerPoint 2001 for Mac- In PowerPoint 2001 for Mac, select the bulleted text.
- On the Slide Show menu, click Animations, and then click Custom.
- Click the Options tab, and then change the Text enters box to All at once
- Click OK.
