SYMPTOMS

In Help and Support, when you type the details of an incident into Microsoft Secure Online Support, the details may seem delayed (or lagged) when displayed on your computer screen. Your computer screen may take anywhere from 30 to 60 seconds before the details are displayed, depending on the speed of your computer.

CAUSE

This behavior can occur because Microsoft Windows Management Instrumentation (WMI) collects the data for your incident (in the background) while you are typing the details of your incident.

WORKAROUND

To work around this behavior, wait 30 to 60 seconds before typing in the incident details.

STATUS

This behavior is by design.
