ENT2001: Appointments Sent from Entourage Display the Incorrect Time in Outlook (272628)

SYMPTOMS

If an Entourage user sends a meeting request to a Microsoft Outlook user, the meeting request displays the incorrect time. The time may appear to be off by four to six hours depending on the recipient's location, and may display a warning to the Outlook user that the appointment appears in the past.

CAUSE

The behavior is caused by a problem with the technology in Microsoft Outlook 2000 that converts the iCalendar (iCal) item to an Outlook appointment.
