Cannot Add Local Group to ACL When Logged On with a Local Account (272576)

When you are logged on to a Windows 2000-based computer that is a member of a Microsoft Windows NT 4.0-based domain as a local user (that is, you are not logged on to the domain) and you try to add a local system group such as the Backup Operators group to a Access Control List (for example, when you try to add permissions to a file that is located on a volume that uses the NTFS file system), you may receive the following error message:
Unable to lookup user names for display.
CAUSE
A logic error in the code results in an incorrectly formatted name being passed to the account lookup routine.
