When you try to uninstall Windows Media Player 7 skins or remove the default playlist on a localized (non-English language) version of Windows Media Player 7, you may be unable to do so.
RESOLUTION
To work around this problem, uninstall Windows Media Player version 7.0.0.1954, and then obtain and install Windows Media Player version 7.0.0.1956 from the following Microsoft Web site:
