Microsoft Product Support Services supports these features of Windows Movie Maker:
  • Import supported file types into the collections database.
  • Split clips.
  • Combine contiguous clips.
  • Move clips to the storyboard or timeline.
  • Resize clips on the timeline.
  • Record a narration.
  • Add audio clips to the timeline.
  • Play back clips in the Monitor area of the user interface (UI).
  • Capture Video from supported video capture devices. These are limited to the devices whose drivers are included with Microsoft Windows Millennium Edition (Me). Other devices may be supported on a "best effort" basis.
  • Save and open project files (.mswmm files).
  • Save projects as movie files (.wmv files).
