SYMPTOMS

When you use the programs listed at the beginning of this article to print transparent .gif images on Hewlett-Packard DeskJet 600 and 900 series printers, you may notice dark horizontal streaks or unusual patterns in the printed graphics, and sections of the printed graphics may be blank.

To check the version of the printer driver that you are using, follow these steps.

  2. Right-click the printer icon for your printer, and then click Properties.
  3. On the General or the Test tab, click Print Test Page.
  4. Note the version of the printer driver on the test page.
