SYMPTOMS

When you use one of the programs listed at the beginning of this article to print to a Lexmark 5700 or a Lexmark 7000 printer, certain printed projects may contain incorrect coloring around text boxes.

CAUSE

This behavior can occur if the printer driver for your printer is outdated.

NOTE: This behavior is known to occur when you use the Lexmark 5700/7000 printer driver version 1.0.1.3 or earlier.

RESOLUTION

To resolve this issue, contact the printer manufacturer to inquire about how to obtain and install the latest printer driver for your printer.

To check the version of the printer driver that is installed on your computer:
  1. Click Start, point to Settings, and then click Printers.
  2. Right-click your printer icon, and then click Properties.
  3. On the General or the Test tab, click Print Test Page.
  4. Note the version of the printer driver that is printed on the test page.
