SUMMARY

If Visual Studio 6.0 Service Pack 4 (SP4) is installed on a computer that is running on the Microsoft Windows 2000-based platform, any files that are part of the Windows Protected File System are not updated. This behavior occurs not because the files are protected, but rather because the files are not of higher version numbers regardless of their release date.
