SYMPTOMS

If you use a Visioneer OneTouch 5300 Universal Serial Bus (USB) scanner with one of the programs that are listed at the beginning of this article on a Microsoft Windows Millennium Edition-based computer, the scanner software may not function properly.

RESOLUTION

If you are using the software that is supplied with the scanner, click the Preview button before you click the Scan button.

To resolve this issue, contact the scanner manufacturer to inquire about how to obtain and install updated drivers for this scanner. These drivers may eliminate the need to always preview before you scan.
