The Style Sheet Links feature reformats the entire web if the active page is an ASP page.
For example, when you open an ASP page and add a CSS file (on the Format menu, point to Style Sheet Links), the entire web (both ASP and HTML files) is reformatted with links to this style sheet.

WORKAROUND
To work around this problem, use a Web page that contains only .htm files. Formatting a single page to use a style sheet then works as expected.
STATUSMicrosoft has confirmed that this is a problem in the Microsoft products that are listed at the beginning of this article. This problem was first corrected in Microsoft Office 2000 Service Pack 2.
