Cannot Access Bookmark Link on a Web Site or URL (271353)

SYMPTOMS

When you click a hyperlink on a URL or a Web page that references a bookmark, the focus does not move to the location on the page that you specified.

CAUSE

This issue occurs because file:// protocol does not support bookmarks that contain spaces or a querystring.

RESOLUTION

To resolve this issue, store HTML files on a Web server rather than a local hard disk.

STATUS

Microsoft has confirmed that this is a problem in Pocket Internet Explorer for the Pocket PC.
