SYMPTOMS
A PC Card modem may not be available for use with the Remote Networking feature after you suspend and resume a Windows CE-based device.
RESOLUTIONWARNING: If you use Registry Editor incorrectly, you may cause serious problems that may
require you to reinstall your operating system. Microsoft cannot guarantee that you can solve
problems that result from using Registry Editor incorrectly. Use Registry Editor at your own
risk.
To correct this problem, add a RebindOnResume DWORD value to the following registry key:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Comm\AsyncMac1\Parms
Set the data value of the RebindOnResume value to 0 (zero).
To do this, you can add the RebindOnResume registry setting to the existing "[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Comm\AsyncMac1\Parms]" section in the Common.reg file as shown in the following example:
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Comm\AsyncMac1\Parms]
"RebindOnResume"=dword:0
STATUSMicrosoft has confirmed that this is a problem in the Microsoft products that are listed at the beginning of this article.
