SUMMARY

This article describes how to schedule content to be downloaded several times each day.

MORE INFORMATION

The shortest interval setting that you can use when you configure scheduled content to be downloaded is once each day. To schedule content to be downloaded several times each day, use one of the following methods:
  • Set up several daily jobs for the same site but for different times each day.
  • Script several immediate jobs, and then change the program daily.
To set up a scheduled download job:
  1. Open the ISA Management utility.
  2. Open the server or array node for the required server or array.
  3. Open the cache configuration node.
  4. Right-click the Scheduled Content Download folder, click New, and then click Job.
  5. The New Scheduled Content Download Wizard is displayed and prompts you for a name for the job. Enter a descriptive name, and then click Next.
  6. In the next screen, select the date and the time that the content should be downloaded. If this job is a recurring job, the values indicate the first time that the scheduled download can occur. Click Next to continue.
  7. Enter the frequency of the download operation. In most situations you want to select either daily or weekly, and at a specific day of the week. Click Next to continue.
  8. Enter the Uniform Resource Locator (URL) of the Web site that you want to cache, and then click Next.
  9. In the next screen, accept the default settings for the links and the download objects, and then click Next.
  10. At the final screen, verify the job settings, and then click Finish to complete the wizard.
