This article was previously published under Q271191

SYMPTOMS

If you copy a text box that contains a bulleted list to the Microsoft Office Clipboard, the list indents are lost when you paste the list to another slide.

CAUSE

This problem occurs when you do the following:
  1. You copy a text box that contains a bulleted list to the Office Clipboard.
  2. You copy another object (such as a shape) to the Office Clipboard.
  3. You click Paste All (on the Office Clipboard) to paste the contents of the Office Clipboard to another slide.
NOTE: Text frames that do not contain indented lists appear correctly when you paste them by using the Paste All command.

WORKAROUND

To work around this problem, do not use the Paste All feature of the Office Clipboard. Instead, copy and paste each bulleted list text frame separately, one at a time.

STATUS

Microsoft has confirmed that this is a problem in the Microsoft products that are listed at the beginning of this article.
