Profile Manager Only Displays Scripted Profiles (271173)

When you do a file conversion with the source of an ASF or WMV file that has script commands, the only profiles that are listed in the Windows Media Encoder Profile Manager are the profiles that have a script stream.
WORKAROUND
After you go through the Session Wizard, go back into the Session properties, and all of the profiles will be listed. Select a profile that does not contain the script stream.

When you convert files, the Encoder removes all script information from the original stream. At the time this article was published, there is no way to make the Encoder preserve or pass on the script information from the original file.
