- Microsoft PowerPoint 2001 for Macintosh
This article was previously published under Q271112 SYMPTOMS
When you apply an animation to a graphic object in a Microsoft PowerPoint presentation, the graphic with its animation is correctly displayed in the presentation when you view the slide show. However, if you save the presentation as a PowerPoint Movie, the graphic does not maintain its correct final position when you play the movie.
This occurs for the following graphic types:
- Picture files larger than 128 kilobytes (KB).
- WordArt objects.
WORKAROUND
You can turn off animations in PowerPoint Movies. To do this, follow these steps:
- Start Microsoft PowerPoint 2001 for Mac, and open the presentation that you want to save as a movie.
- On the File menu, click Make Movie.
- In the Save dialog box, click Adjust settings, and then click Next.
- Under Media Settings, click to clear the Show animations check box.
STATUSMicrosoft has confirmed that this is a problem in the Microsoft products that are listed at the beginning of this article.
