The information in this article applies to:
- Microsoft PowerPoint 2001 for Macintosh
This article was previously published under Q271110 SYMPTOMS
After you assign a design template to one slide in a presentation and then save the presentation as a movie, when you view the movie, the slide does not have the background formatting that you expect. Instead, the formatting from the design template appears on the first slide in the movie.
CAUSE
This behavior can occur if all of the following conditions are true:
- The Multiple designs per presentation option is enabled on the Advanced tab in the PowerPoint Preferences dialog box.
- No design template is applied to the first slide in your presentation.
- A design template is applied to at least one of the remaining slides.
- The presentation is saved as a PowerPoint movie.
WORKAROUND
To work around this behavior, manually apply the background and formatting to the slide, and then save the presentation as a QuickTime movie.
STATUSMicrosoft has confirmed that this is a problem in the Microsoft products that are listed at the beginning of this article.
