SYMPTOMS

When your system uses the Recvfrom function, the function can cause your system to write incorrect data into the Sin_zero field.

CAUSE

This behavior can occur when the Sin_zero field (of the TDI_ADDRESS_IP structure) is not reset before it is used.

RESOLUTION

Microsoft has confirmed that this is a problem in the Microsoft products that are listed at the beginning of this article. This problem was first corrected in Windows 2000 Service Pack 2.
