To use the Microsoft SideWinder FreeStyle Pro game controller, you need:

  • Multimedia PC with a Pentium 90 MHz or higher processor
  • Microsoft Windows 95 operating system or Windows 98 operating system.NOTE: The Microsoft Game Controller software version 3.02 is not compatible with Windows 2000 operating system.

  • 16 megabytes (MB) of RAM
  • 25 MB of available hard disk space (an additional 15 MB recommended for installation)
  • Quad-speed or faster CD-ROM drive
  • Super VGA, 256-color monitor
  • Microsoft Mouse or compatible pointing device
  • SoundBlaster-compatible sound card with MIDI-enabled game port
  • Microsoft Internet Explorer version 3.0a or later, Netscape Navigator version 3.0 or later, or other frames-capable browser to run introduction in SideWinder Game Controller software
To use the Microsoft SideWinder Freestyle Pro game controller with a Universal Serial Bus (USB) adapter, you also need:
