SUMMARY

When you are replicating directory information between a Microsoft Exchange Server 5.5 Service Pack 3 (SP3) computer, and Microsoft Windows 2000 Active Directory across the Active Directory Connector (ADC), you can select the object attributes that you want to replicate. By default, all available attributes are selected, and replicated. This article explains how to select attributes for replication.

MORE INFORMATION

To Select the Attributes to Be Replicated Across the ADC for All Connection Agreements

  1. On the Start menu, point to Programs, click Administrative Tools, and then click Active Directory Connector.
  2. In the console tree, right-click Active Directory Connector Management, and then click Properties.
  3. Click either the From Exchange tab, or the From Windows tab, depending on the direction in which you want to replicate information. If you are performing a two-way replication, you must select attributes on both tabs.
From the list of attributes, select the ones that you want to replicate for all of your Connection Agreements. Attributes that you select affect all Connection Agreements. These selected attributes are replicated for objects which are selected in the From Exchange tab, or the From Windows tab (or both), for the properties of each of the Connection Agreements.

NOTE: You can use these instructions for both the Windows 2000 ADC and the Exchange 2000 ADC, except when you have installed the Exchange 2000 ADC on a computer that has never had a previous version of the ADC, and upon which you have not installed Exchange 2000.
