SUMMARY

AutoCorrect is a new feature available with Microsoft Works 6 Word Processor. AutoCorrect can automatically correct common typing mistakes, and it gives you the ability to quickly insert text and graphic objects that you previously created and stored in the AutoCorrect database.

MORE INFORMATION

The following information describes the operating limitations of the AutoCorrect feature:
  • The maximum number of characters, including spaces, that you can use as replacement text for a plain text entry is 255.
  • The maximum number of characters, including spaces, that you can type to generate replacement text is 32.
  • The maximum size of formatted text entries and objects such as pictures, graphics, logos, and so on, that you can use to replace text is limited only by the amount of available random access memory (RAM) and hard-disk space on your computer.
  • If you trigger large numbers of AutoCorrect entries, this may result in "Out of Memory" errors. The number of AutoCorrect entries required to generate this error depends upon the available system resources and the sizes of the AutoCorrect entries.
