This article was previously published under Q270130

SUMMARY

In Exchange 2000 Server, you can set the priority for replication messages that are sent by a public folder. This priority determines the order in which Exchange 2000 sends messages. Messages that have an urgent priority are delivered first.

MORE INFORMATION

To set a priority for replication messages:
  1. Click Start, point to Programs, point to Microsoft Exchange, and then click System Manager.
  2. Click to expand Administrative Group, and then click to expand the administrative group that you want to administer.
  3. Click to expand Folders, click to expand Public Folders, and then locate the public folder for which you want to set the priority for replication messages.
  4. Right-click that folder, and then click Properties on the shortcut menu.
  5. Click the Replication tab.
  6. Under Replication message priority, click one of the following options, as applicable:
    • Not Urgent (Messages with this priority are delivered last.)
    • Normal (Messages with this priority are sent before messages that have a priority of not urgent.)
    • Urgent (Messages with this priority are sent before messages that have a priority of normal or not urgent.)
You can also set replication message priority on general purpose (non-MAPI) public folders.
