Works 6: Cannot Register Works Online (269988)

SYMPTOMS

When you attempt to register Microsoft Works 6 or Microsoft Works Suite 2001 online, you may be unable to connect to the Works registration Web site.

CAUSE

This behavior can occur if you install Works 6 or Works Suite 2001 on a Microsoft Windows 95-based computer.

RESOLUTION

To work around this issue, fill out and then mail the registration card that is included in the material packaged with the application medium.

STATUS

Microsoft has confirmed that this is a problem in the Microsoft products that are listed at the beginning of this article.
