Works: Top Margin of First Page of a Word Processor Document Exceeds Margin Setting (269973)

When you create a Microsoft Works Word Processor document, the first page of the document may have a margin that appears to exceed the top margin setting shown in the Page Setup dialog box.
CAUSE
This problem may occur if you click to select the No header on first page check box on the Other Options tab of the Page Setup dialog box.
The top margin setting on the Margins tab of the Page Setup dialog box does not include the size of the header. The text on the first page of the document starts below the header even though the header is not displayed on the first page, therefore giving the appearance of a larger margin than expected.
RESOLUTION
To work around this issue, make the first page of a multi-page document a separate document, and then set the top margin to the size that you want.
Note To set the margins of a document, click Page Setup on the File menu.
This workaround may not be satisfactory in all situations. For example, if you intend to e-mail or fax the document, you must remember to e-mail or fax both documents.
