WD2001: Documents Are Printed Too Close to the Top of the Page (269942)

SYMPTOMS
When you print Microsoft Word 2001 for Mac documents, the printing begins up to an inch higher on the page than expected, and some data may not be printed, as a result.
CAUSE
This issue occurs under the following conditions:
- The LaserWriter 8 printer driver is the selected driver.
-and-
- The default page size set in Word differs from the default page size set in Finder.
RESOLUTION
To resolve this issue, make sure that the default paper size set in Word is the same as the default paper size that is set in Finder.
WORKAROUND
To work around this issue, reset the paper size for the current document to the default size that you want, and then print the document.

In order to set the default page size in Finder and Word, it is necessary to press OPTION+RETURN after setting the new default value in the LaserWriter 8 Page Setup dialog box.
