WD2001: Unable to Add New Entries from Within Envelopes or Labels Dialog Boxes (269910)

SYMPTOMS

When you create envelopes or labels in Microsoft Word, you are unable to add entries to the Address Book from within the Envelopes dialog box or the Labels dialog box.

WORKAROUND

To work around this issue, use either of the following methods.

Method 1

Add and modify addresses through the Contact toolbar:

On the View menu, point to Toolbars, and then click Contact.
On the Contact toolbar, click More Buttons, and then click Address Book.

Method 2

Add and modify addresses from within Entourage:

Start Microsoft Entourage.
On the Window menu, click Address Book.

STATUS

Microsoft has confirmed that this is a problem in the Microsoft products that are listed at the beginning of this article.
