When you copy a picture in Joint Photographic Experts Group (JPEG) format to the Office Clipboard, and then from the Office Clipboard to an Office program, you may be unable to adjust the brightness and contrast properties of the picture.
WORKAROUND
Copy or drag the JPEG picture directly to the Office document instead of to the Office Clipboard. If you want the JPEG picture to be available on the Office Clipboard as well, copy it from within the Office document to the Office Clipboard.
STATUSMicrosoft has confirmed that this is a problem in the Microsoft products that are listed at the beginning of this article.
