OFF2001: Transparency Tool Is Disabled for Pasted Selections of Graphic Images (269902)

If you select a region of a graphic object by using a lasso tool from the Picture toolbar, and then cut or copy and paste it in the document, the Set Transparent Color tool becomes unavailable when the subselection is the active object. The Set Transparent Color tool on the Picture toolbar is usually available when you insert a graphic object.
This applies to all Office programs.
WORKAROUND
To work around this behavior and enable the Set Transparent Color tool, follow this step:
- Click Color Adjustment, and then click Apply without changing any settings in the Color Adjustment dialog box.
