OFF2001: Long Delay in Opening Page Setup or Print Dialog Boxes with Adobe PS 8.7 Driver (269901)

SYMPTOMS

When you start any of the programs in Microsoft Office 2001 for Mac, and then you click Page Setup or Print on the File menu, you may experience a long delay before the Page Setup or Print dialog boxes appear.

You may find that other programs, such as the Finder, are also affected.

CAUSE

This behavior can occur if you have the Adobe PS 8.7 PostScript driver installed on your computer.

WORKAROUND

Although there is no workaround for this behavior, no harm is done by it. The delay should occur only the first time that you open the Page Setup or Print dialog boxes. The next time, you should experience no delay.
