Caller ID and Called ID Do Not Display Correctly with TAPI 3.0 (269822)

SYMPTOMS

Caller ID and called ID are incorrectly displayed for H.323 phone calls when the call is answered by the Telephony API (TAPI) but bridged to the network by the a Cisco H.323 gateway. For example, instead of the direct inward dialing (DID) caller ID, what is displayed is the IP address of the gateway.

RESOLUTION

To resolve this problem, obtain the latest service pack for Windows 2000. For additional information, click the following article number to view the article in the Microsoft Knowledge Base:

STATUS

Microsoft has confirmed that this is a problem in the Microsoft products that are listed at the beginning of this article. This problem was first corrected in Windows 2000 Service Pack 2.
