The Windows Installer package file (Update.msi) for Windows 2000 Service Pack 3 (SP3) is available in the self-extracting .EXE that contains the rest of the service pack. Perform the following steps to extract Update.msi:
  1. Obtain Windows 2000 SP3.
  2. Type the following at a Command Prompt to extract the contents of SP3:
    win2kSP3 -x
