Works 6: Works Calendar Does Not Appear on Start Menu (269724)

When you click Start, point to Programs, and then click Microsoft Works, Works Calendar may be missing from the Microsoft Windows Start menu.
You can still start Microsoft Works Calendar from the Works Task Launcher and it works as expected.
CAUSE
This problem can occur if Home Publishing 2000 is installed on the same computer as Works, and you then remove Home Publishing 2000 from your computer.
RESOLUTION
To resolve this issue, follow these steps: NOTE: Because there are several versions of Microsoft Windows, the following steps may be different on your computer. If they are, see your product documentation to complete these steps. - Click Start, point to Settings, and then click Taskbar & Start Menu.
- On the Start Menu Programs tab, click Add.
- Click Browse, and then browse to find the Wkscal.exe file (the default folder is C:\Program Files\Common Files\Microsoft Shared\Works Shared).
- Click Wkscal.exe and then click Open.
- Click Next.
- In the Select Program Folder dialog box, select Start Menu\Programs\Microsoft Works, and then click Next.
- Type Microsoft Works Calendar in the Select a name for the shortcut box.
- Click Finish, and then click OK.
