FIX: Cannot Access Some Msxml Methods With Czech or Slovak Regional Settings (269688)

SYMPTOMS

If your regional settings are set to Czech or Slovak, calling some Msxml.dll methods, such as, childNodes, in a script that is written in Visual Basic Scripting Edition (VBScript) or JScript may not work and you may receive the following error message:
Microsoft VBScript runtime error: Object doesn't support this property or method: 'node.childNodes'

CAUSE

This issue is caused by a problem in Msxml.dll that prevents it from correctly retrieving some Msxml method and property names.

RESOLUTION

This problem is fixed in the latest service packs for Windows 2000.
