SYMPTOMS

When you attempt to print multiple pictures on a single page in one of the Microsoft programs listed at the beginning of this article, the picture may not be the correct size or no option to print 6 per page available.

RESOLUTION

To work around this issue, crop the picture. Use the appropriate method for the version of Picture It! that is installed on your computer.

Microsoft Picture It! 2000

To crop the picture in Picture It! 2000:
  1. On the Workbench tab, click Size & position, and then click Crop.
  2. Under Click a Shape, click the black X.
  3. Click Done.

Microsoft Picture It! Photo 2001/2002 or Picture It! Publishing 2001/2002

To crop the picture in Picture It! Photo 2001/2002 or Picture It! Publishing 2001/2002:
  1. On the Picture Options pane, click Cutouts & pictures or Size & position.
  2. Click Crop.
  3. Under Click a Shape, click the black X.
  4. Click Done.
There is no standard format for 6 pictures per page, because the layout of 6 standard pictures on the usual printable area of a page on most printers is either going to require a lot of cropping or they will have to be resized enough that you might as well print 8. To work aorund this issue, follow these steps:
  1. Start Picture It!
  2. On the Pick a Design tab, click Blank Projects.
  3. Click Photos, and then double-click the Photo collage on my own icon.
  4. Click A white canvas, and then select either Portrait or Landscape.
  5. Verify the Proportion is set to Fit to page, and then click Next.
  6. Select A picture or cut out of my own.
  7. Open, scan, download, or select an open picture from the tray.
  8. Follow the steps until you reach Create on My Own, and then Done.
  9. Verify the picture is still selected (has the dotted frame around it), move it out of the center of the page, and then on the Edit menu, click Copy.
  10. On the Edit menu, click Paste (a second copy of the picture appears), and then move it out of the center.
  11. Repeat step 10 until you have 6 copies of the picture, including the original.
  12. Move the pictures around until they are evenly spaced.
  13. Print this document as one page.
