SUMMARY

FoneSync is a product provided by Paragon Software, and it is shipped with Microsoft Works Suite 2001. FoneSync allows you to transfer telephone numbers from the Microsoft Windows Address Book and other address books, such as Outlook or Outlook Express, to your FoneSync-compatible cellular phone.

All support and the necessary software and hardware are supplied by Paragon Software.

To set up FoneSync, follow these steps:
  1. Start the Microsoft Works Task Launcher.
  2. On the Programs tab, click FoneSync.
  3. In the right pane, click Start FoneSync.
  4. Follow the steps in the Setup FoneSync Wizard.

    After you set up FoneSync, the program starts and runs when you click Start FoneSync on the Programs tab.
NOTE: You do not need an actual telephone handset connected to your computer to set up FoneSync. The program has the capability of simulating a handset connection.

FoneSync can use information from your Microsoft Windows Address Book, Microsoft Outlook Address Book, or Microsoft Outlook Express Address Book to synch with the telephone. When you use the FoneSync Autosync feature, phone numbers are automatically synchronized with supported Personal Information Managers.

For information about how to synchronize with your favorite Personal Information Manager (PIM), click FoneSync Help, and then select the PIM that you want.

To obtain FoneSync customer support, follow these steps:
  1. Connect to the Internet.
  2. Start the Microsoft Works Task Launcher.
  3. On the Programs tab, click FoneSync.
  4. In the right pane, click FoneSync Product Support Web Site.
  5. Click Start this task.
