Cannot Connect to IPX Resources After Computer Hibernates (269546)

SYMPTOMS

After your computer enters Hibernate mode and you move the computer to another subnet, you may be unable to reconnect to Internetwork Packet Exchange (IPX) resources to which you connected before the computer entered Hibernate mode.

RESOLUTION

Either before the computer enters or after it resumes from Hibernate mode, disable and then re-enable the network adapter in the computer.

STATUS

Microsoft has confirmed that this is a problem in Microsoft Windows 2000.
