Background Remains in the Screen Saver After Customized Settings Are Removed (269480)

When you use the Customize This Folder Wizard to remove the customized settings from the My Pictures screen saver folder, the background that was removed may continue to be displayed.
CAUSE
This behavior can occur because the Background.gif file remains in the Folder Settings folder after the customized settings of the My Pictures folder are removed.
RESOLUTION
To resolve this issue, follow these steps:
- In Microsoft Windows Explorer, double-click My Pictures.
- Double-click Folder Settings.
- Right-click the name of the background file (for example, Background.gif), and then click Delete.
If the Folder Settings folder is not present, you must disable the hidden files setting. To do so, follow these steps:
- In Windows Explorer, click the Tools menu, click Folder Options, and then click the View tab.
- Click to select the Show hidden files and folders check box.
- Click to clear the Hide protected operating system files check box.
- Click OK.
